![]() ![]() Hard Edit was a phenomenal read, definitely worthy of a 5 star status. The secondary characters brought balance and support to the main characters and added so much more to this story. These two characters were well developed and they grow as a couple in the story as they faced their fears and insecurities together. I loved their witty banter and their competitive battles however it was their steamy scenes that almost melted my kindle. The authors did a great job bringing together these two strong alpha male characters while allowing them to each keep their individuality. It was hotter, funnier, and in some ways a bit more unusual. The story takes us into the lives of Troy and Larson one year after BlackBalled and the real world problems they faced while in a relationship. Hard Edit was even better that the first book. ![]() I absolutely loved BlackBalled and to find out that there was a sequel with these two fascinating characters made my day. ![]()

![]() ![]() this is a woman who wore white to a blood bath. he was just “oh btw i’ve been obsessed with you for a decade and live in a perpetual state of emotional agony but thats okay whatever you want is fine with me haha” and padme goes “yea okay i’m into that.” two minutes after he’s assigned to be her bodyguard she gives an obligatory little “i have a bad feeling about this” and then just fucking marries him. ![]() you think padme doesn’t know anakin is ten pounds of mommy issues in a five pound bag? you think she looked at soggy weeping anakin begging her to love him and didn’t immediately think “yes i definitely will peg him” ? you think just because she’s a queen turned senator that she isn’t just as horny and feral as he is? anakin wasn’t even pushy about it. ![]() ![]() ever since aotc i’ve had to listen to bullshit arguments about how awful the prequel romance is, how anakin’s a red flag, blah blah blah. ![]() ![]() ![]() And if there is some eternal world after this one, what fate awaits a taker of lives? I understand why there are scythes, and how important and how necessary the work is… but I often wonder why I had to be chosen. The ending of human life used to be in the hands of nature. We have one very limited world, and although death has been defeated as completely as polio, people still must die. It’s not as if we can go somewhere else the disasters on the moon and Mars colonies proved that. ![]() All of that is behind us now, and yet a simple truth remains: People have to die. It’s hard for most of us to imagine a world so unsafe, with dangers lurking in every unseen, unplanned corner. Aging couldn’t be reversed, and there were accidents from which there was no return. There were invisible killers called “diseases” that broke the body down. ![]() Old age used to be a terminal affliction, not a temporary state. And knowing that it is for the greater good doesn’t make it any easier. It is the most difficult thing a person can be asked to do. ![]() |
